They're ok in single player, though not really in Lunatic where some unit will definitely have a bs skill that somehow destroys your healer's life. It's also because by the time you reach lvl 40, 8-15 heal isn't really significant, but if you use a dancer I guess it's not so bad. Except now you have a dancer and a healer. Unless the dancer is Azura who can actually destroy reds, you're losing way too much combat potential. It's also because it's very easy for a unit to get ORKO'd, like if you let 2 units attack a guy, if those units are any good, your unit is dead, doesn't matter which unit it is

I beat the whole game (on Lunatic) with a healer, as well as play the Arena and reach 3,000+ every week with a healer.

I use Clarine and she never gets hit because she can move 4 spaces

Yeah like I said, they're not bad in single player. In Arena, you might actually get a higher score without healers. They have bad overall stat, so you'll actually get much lower score than you normally would. I get 4500+ every week XP
