I was mostly coming in to say this.

I couldn't think of any song other than Fly before I came into this topic. I only remembered Every Morning and When It's Over because seeing the names in the poll reminded me of them. But all three songs just sort of sound alike and blur together in my head.

And I couldn't remember Someday at all until I listened to the video, and was like "Oh, yeah, I do know this." But as soon as I turned the video off it just started blurring into When It's Over almost immediately.

And it's not just because I'm old and my memory is turning into swiss cheese (though I won't argue that that's a thing that's happening). Because I remember plenty of other songs from other similar bands that came out around that time. I can rattle off four distinct Smash Mouth songs almost immediately (even if one of them is a cover), I still remember a ton of Offspring songs, a few Everclear songs, a handful of Vertical Horizon...

I even remember that Urge Overkill existed. Does anyone else anywhere remember that Urge Overkill ever existed? Including the members of Urge Overkill?



EDIT: I finished typing this post, clicked "Post New Message", and realized about 5 seconds later that I am completely incapable of remembering Someday again. It took me like 2 minutes from listening to it to completely forgetting it. My brain is clearly allergic to that song.
