Always check your medications before going overseas. I took my mother to Japan this year and she's on some pretty heavy-duty psychotropic medications, as well as an opioid painkiller for scoliosis. Checked Japan's laws for drugs and, lo and behold, two of her medications were on the controlled substance list. Turned out to be a minor inconvenience at worst, as I just had to apply for an import certificate for personal use with a note from her physician and declare them at customs, but it could have been a major problem if I hadn't checked beforehand. --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer.
