Denounce that loudly I can't think of a single Dem who is talking about Defund the Police, also the big problem there was Dems let Republicans totally control the narrative. The idea behind Defund the Police is sound, ease the burden on the police by having social workers deal with non-violet mental health calls. Take the funding saved from doing that and put it into those social workers. When you explain it to people most agree that it's a good idea but it felt like the only people bothering to explain it to anybody was people online. The dems need to do better at getting in front of things and trying to control the narrative, Republicans are fucking masters at it, the Dems are so far behind in this. I do admit that the slogan itself lends itself to being easy for Republicans to control the narrative. LightSnake posted... WOuld you consider talking for 7 hours to block passage of a bill fighting? It is but how often is he doing stuff like that? It gets lost in all the times he goes on about bipartisanship and working with Republicans. His style of politics just lacks fire. I wouldn't have a problem with him if he wasn't the leader in congress but he's just not cut out for that role in 2025. LightSnake posted... Like Klipp writes for the Intercept I missed this bit, when did he start writing for them? --- The commercial says that Church isn't for perfect people, I guess that's why I'm an atheist. ...
