As long as the shooter isn't trans, it doesn't matter what right wingers think. It's the average American that will decide the outcome.

That would require the traditional media to drown out (or even be able to drown out) the right-wing firehose of noise and disinformation and not give equal time to conservative commentators as if the debate is a 1:1 equivalence.

Since journalism is all but dead and the only people doing that job anymore are comedians and podcasters across a fragmented interest and fan base...

...the public at large will hear "trans shooter" and never question it or revise it, even when the contradicting information and inevitable truth comes out.
