Your perception of what's "surface level" is a little skewed. It ironically feels like you're trying to gatekeep me from listening to obscure bands now lol. But nah, most of the bands l listed are very prominent names in their respective genres. But if you listen to stuff like allegaeon and gojira you probably just like more modern metal whereas a lot of mine are kinda more pre-2010s kinda bands.
