We went on a drive thru self-tour of wildlife in Minnesota last year, and the bison enclosure was like something out of Jurassic Park, with signs everywhere that were basically like "YOU ARE GOING TO DIE AND IT IS NOT OUR FAULT." We didn't see any bison, and I was ok with that, lol. They aren't that dangerous, so long as you've got common sense. I mean, you wouldn't want to get close to one, but so long as you stay in the car, you're fine. There's some close to here up in the Wichita mountains and I've been going to see them since I was a kid. If you leave them alone, they leave you alone. That said, I have seen some people get real close to them to take pictures... I mean within 30 feet, and those people were lucky to walk away uninjured.
