It's less an issue of "missing" as much as it is a shift in how the general public views movies. I love the theater experience. Sit down, and watch a great movie on a big screen with booming audio, and a container of ludicrously expensive, but delicious popcorn in my hand. But most people don't care. The average person is just as happy happy watching the movie on their $200 42 inch walmart TV with tv speaker sound. For those people, why rush out to see it when you could wait a month or two and just watch it at home. The studios started pushing hard for streaming services and on demand viewing and shortening theatrical windows, and now they are reaping the consequences of that.

So the solution is to get rid of Disney+!
