Marvel screwed up post endgame thinking the original characters could be replaced with new and or successors when thats simply not an option for the same reasons they arent in the comics.

So Replacing the Actors and soft rebooting from there would have been the smartest thing to do.

But it seems theyve learned this aspect of the genre far too late sadly. Which is what led to things like iron heart or even the thunderbolts for that matter.
