Topic | When people ignore your parameters when you're asking a question. |
Rial_Kai 05/26/25 3:58:36 PM #4: | [LFAQs-redacted-quote] I....what? 'You' as in the person ignoring the parameters or 'you' the one looking for a suggestion within said parameters? The person chiming in that is ignoring your parameters to suggest the thing that was already explained is not what is being looked for could just...not respond. They don't have anything new to offer. They were already told that's not what they are looking for. Everyone isn't required to be more knowledgeable, but also everyone doesn't need to respond. It's funny because I find that I'm looking for something that some other person is also in need of(or should I say needed). I Google it, I find an old message board where they are asking about it, the response is some person suggesting the thing that was already explained as not being what they are looking for. But the thing that kills me is when the OP follows up with, "never mind, I found the actual thing I needed" with no explanation. And I'm like "Nooooo!!! " One awesome thing I have been seeing more recently though is some redditor bumping a long dead thread with the actual answer I'm looking for, and they are like, "for people googling this 5 years from now and finding people suggesting the thing that doesn't work for your needs" and I'm not like "Yessss!!!!" The real heroes out here! --- I use Google... A lot.... >______> ... Copied to Clipboard! |
