From how I understand it, Galactus doesn't really have a singular appearance and appears differently to different planets/species. We see him the way we see him in the comics due to us experiencing the story from the perspective of the Marvel heroes, so he takes on a more humanoid form. He also has the ability to change his size IIRC, so this is all fine.
