So i've been thinking about that Japan only system and honestly if you really wanted a cheaper Switch 2 it may be a good option. The UI and everything is in Japanese but you'd pretty much learn where everything was pretty quickly with some trial and error. Even if you get stuck you can just open your smart phone and use google translate to get the gist of what the menu options are saying. The only real problem is it only uses Japanese Nintendo accounts and eshop which may mean you're pretty much locked to physical games if you want them in English.

It's not even a given that playing on a physical game on a Japan only system will let you play the game in English. Some games may use the system's language setting to determine the in-game language. Since the system language is locked to Japanese, that means you'll be stuck playing certain games in Japanese unless they offer an option to choose your preferred language.
