Joel & Ellie here are two of the most well-realized characters in gaming, Joels gruff exterior and Ellie's sharp wit form a counterbalance that feels grounded, relatable, and human. As they travel together, you see the layers of their personalities unfold, Joels stoic resilience, Ellies brashness softened by vulnerability, and the slow, subtle formation of a bond that transcends the mission theyre on, until they are nearly an inseparable duo, full of even love for each other.
