Real quick, I looked up the Waukesha Christmas parade attack. The perp was charged with 6 counts of first degree murder for the 6 people he killed, and 61 counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety for all the people he injured but didn't kill. I'm gonna guess there's something sticky about attempted murder when driving is involved. EDIT: Oh, and also, the perpetrator for that one was a black man with an extensive record, so it's unlikely that the prosecution softballed him. --- Time is a funny thing, you know?
