It assumes the military won't feel threatened and preform a coup against the Trump administration. Even if a purge is successful America is full of gun owners, and not just right wingers. If people don't have bread and circus and feel they have nothing to lose they will be much more willing to risk their lives against the military. The US military is designed to break countries at the top level (see how easily Iraq was toppled) but it has a hard time with dealing with insurgencies. --- We all live in a Yellow SUV! a Yellow SUV! ...
