Possibly. My parents have always been republican but they were never very political. But over the past 10 years or so, they've really drunk the Kool-Aid. Every time I visit, Fox News is usually on, and the first thing they greet me with is an update on the days talking points, which usually starts with "Can you believe the Democrats did this?" or "Can you believe the Democrats said that?" Funnily enough, its rarely ever positive news about what the Republicans are doing, but mostly just negative news about Democrats. Once they catch me up on the day's topics, only then can we converse like a normal family about normal things. I love my parents, but they can be a bit much sometimes.
