SSBM vs SA2B is incredibly hard for me, the best multiplayer game on the console that also has decent 1P modes vs the best 1P game that also has decent multiplayer modes. I have already flip-flopped them multiple times in the process of typing my list so there's a chance that I might change my mind again before the voting deadline, but at this exact minute this is what I'm feeling.

I gave a courtesy vote to SSX 3 in the PS2 topic, but personally this was the console that I got it on so it gets my full vote here. I consider it to be one of the games of the generation. It is still in my normal rotation of games, one of the few from this gen that I still play for more than a once-a-decade nostalgia trip.

Although it's not eligible, I want to give a shoutout to The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition for being a very respectable compilation. At the time of release it was very rare for compilations to include games from the previous generation, usually they were at least 2 gens old. So for them to give you the two most recent (console) games close to the beginning of the next console's lifespan felt like they were giving you two real games for free, not just throwaway old games which were obsolete and forgotten. It felt very special (and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't even like most Zelda games).

Red Faction II is a game which I own on PS2 but I first played it on Gamecube, and in fact I only bought it on PS2 because I was unable to find a Gamecube copy at the time. It holds the distinction of being the only FPS that I ever liked.
