Someone pointed to a great theory as to why Silver is doing what he's doing, and it ties to Thiel a few days ago claiming that the only way Harris wins is if she's cheating and how he's not funding any political party, but he's funding other means, ie Silver to basically put out sham polling, so when it is obviously close, they can point to polling and predictions as to why the election was rigged.

They did this same shit in 2020 and again in 2022. By propping up shit polls, and including them in aggregates, it gives them a 'look see, polls had her losing by 10 points, how could she win' argument. Not a good argument, but who knows how these deplorable judges Trump picked will react. They've already done more damage to this country than any of the Bush's or Reagan judges.

There's also Nate Silver literally getting money from the betting market. His model favoring Trump means more money goes into the betting market so more money for him. Plus yeah Peter Thiel is paying him and we all know Thiel has skin in the game and is actively trying to get Trump reelected.
