I thought it was great. That "aha" moment where you realize the puzzle grids are simply training you to solve puzzles in the environment, and the world itself is the actual puzzle really left an impression on me. I forget a lot of games over time, but I still vividly remember parts of The Witness.

And yeah, some of the puzzles were harder than they needed to be. That sequence with "The Hall of the Mountain King" was especially grueling. Could've dialed the difficulty down. But still, the game had so many highs that the lows didn't matter so much to me.
