First of all, it's very rare for there to be a "US edition" when it's the same box and figure all around.
And second, do you want to pay a higher price from a US-based shop?

So yeah, much better to take advantage of the weaker yen! And I should add, even with taking import shipping cost in mind, it'll still end up less even if you pick the most premium shipping rate.
