I guess it kinda depends on the game and your mood. If it's a game where another player succeeding means you don't get to play, then it's usually not fun to be horribly outmatched. Like any fighting game where you're immediately full combo'd and you effectively don't get to participate. If it's some kind of racing game or high score competition, you may be left in the dust, but at least you can still play the game until it's over. You can admire and marvel at a more skilled opponent's performance either way, but the meme is about trying to unwind after a bad day.

This is relevant for two of my favorite games: UMvC3 and BBTAG. If youre really outmatched you basically just watch a combo video lol. But the thing is that Im fine with that, even if Im trying to unwind.

I think its because I can appreciate my opponent being that much better than me. One thing that does stress me out, however, is messing up my own combos. But for the most part that doesnt happen to that extent, with the exception of Naoto Mr. carpal tunnel Kurogane. But if Im really that irritable at the moment Ill just use someone else; its a perk of playing like half the roster in a fighting game lol
