i think remakes that actually have some effort are great. See: resident evil remakesshit if you want to use a nintendo example the Metroid 2 remake was a totally worthwhile game that reimagined the game without even really making the original completely obsolete. Great use of effort!

as for 1:1you can play basically all of Sony and Microsofts first-party games from that gen for less than the price of a Netflix subscription on modern consoles upscaled to HD

It really sucks that to play nintendo games you have to go way out of your way to find the original console, or wait and wait and wait for them to maybe decide this is the one theyre going to use to pad their release schedule this year

if nintendo ported their games like the other guys do, you could play all of their games as they were originally intended and they could spend that development time making actual new games or shit, even reimagined remakes

yes I rant about it all the time, it really chaps my ass and the fact that so many gamers wholly embrace this from Nintendo just means they spend way less time making quality new games
