A gimmick account like that is doing it for laughs. It's intentional comedy. The content is funny, not the fact that no one else is doing it. Laughing at someone because you deem their hobbies weird is completely different. We are pretending that "weird" isn't regularly used in a negative fashion, and that it's just obvious that people who are not completely boring and normal should expect and realize how lol-worthy their interests are.
