The line between fan and a "weirdo" is one drawn by each individual because it's subjective. Most of the time, if you don't care or dislike the thing the other person likes; you're more incline to think its weird that they like the thing you dislike and/or don't care for. Now not everyone's this judgemental, but I'll admit I used to be this way when I was younger but I also believe it's a mentality you can grow out of easily...imo.

I used Nintendo Adult as an example in my previous post because last week I went to a Mario theme reception for a wedding for one of my highschool friends. I got placed to sit next to a coworker of my friend and she made the comment "isn't it fucking weird, why couldn't be pick something normal as a theme for his wedding or something?" It was obvious she was trying to break the ice, but it does back up my point on what people will find acceptable and what people will find weird.
