When privileged people tell me we should all let ourselves die because our country still has awful foreign policy, I'm gonna fucking tell them their opinions are awful.

People with actual problems, that are actually in danger in America, don't have the luxury of focusing on who our government is friends with in foreign conflicts.

Should we also let abortion be banned nationwide because our government won't stop giving money to the architects of 9/11?

Only people without actual problems can turn their nose up at the lesser evil, to vote with their hearts.

I swear this board doesn't understand how a democracy should function. We're so used to this shitty system that we think it's normal to have to justify a genocide because the other side is going to genocide even harder if we don't vote for "the good guys"

No, what we should be doing is using the one political tool we have, our vote, to try to force the people in power to bend to the will of the people. That's how a democracy is supposed to function. Thats all that voting uncommitted is trying to do. They realize they're helpless, but if this act gets the Dems to reconsider their stance on Israel, then that's a net positive.

And instead of brow beating those people because they don't feel great about supporting a candidate that is actively funding a genocide, maybe you should join them and use that same energy and criticize the people that are funding the fucking genocide.Try to force the people in power to actually do the right thing.

It's better than sitting back and criticizing the people that are actually trying whatever they can, no matter how hopeless, to fix the situation.
