Which is about 6 grams of sodium. People with hypotension NEED at minimum 6 grams of sodium per day.

WHAT THE HELL??? You know what, I won't even ask for your source because I know it's 'I confidently talk nonsense about stuff I know nothing about just so I can win internet argument.'

Jesus I even gave you an easy way out. All you have to do was not responding to my post and everyone would chalk up your 'eat 1tbsp of salt' post as innocent slip of tongue. But you just had to double down and play armchair doctor, didn't you? Not surprising coming from an obvious alt.

=================================
1.) TC's problem might lie elsewhere
Anemia and high/low blood sugar can also cause hypotension and treating them blindly with salt is nuts. I didn't call out any other poster because they suggested the right thing which is 'eat something'. You however suggested to 'eat 1tbsp of salt'.

2.) Salt is not the only source of sodium for god's sake
You at least got the 6g part right. Salt has about 40% sodium. So 1 tbsp of salt=15~18g of salt=6~7.2g of sodium. However regular meal stuff like bread, meat, cheese, salad dressing, and soup also provide sodium!

The average sodium intake in most Americans is 3.4 g/day or 1.5 teaspoons of salt, which is greater than the physiological requirement for the human body.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7763082/
That 3.4g of sodium comes from regular eating. Your bloody awful suggestion to eat more salt on top of that will easily cause TC to break into double digit territory (>10g).

3.) That much salt is dangerous
Human body needs 0.5g of sodium to maintain vital functions. The normal daily recommendation is 2~3g. Here's what'll happen if you eat a tbsp of salt on top of that. First, you'll wreck your nearest body cell through osmosis (source: highschool science). Second, you'll greatly disturb your body ability to properly maintain its liquid distribution. The liquid buildup around your lung/chest will now tax your heart. Third, the sharp increase in blood pressure could trigger heart failure.

Remember the case of Panera Bread and the Forbidden Lemonade? Too much caffeine in short time is dangerous and so is salt. Are you trying to kill TC through your own ignorance?

4.) Not even hyponatremia can be treated with eating salt
Hyponatremia is a condition where your sodium level drops below the normal level. For example, an ultra long distance runner who've lost enough sodium through sweating. You can treat hyponatremia with sport drink but in severe case you'll need intravenous electrolyte solution injection.

The point is: Even in hyponatremia case, sodium has to be administered in diluted liquid form, NOT EATEN IN BULK!!

The option of walking away is still on the table Statewitness. Triple down on this potentially life-threatening advice of yours and I'll mark your post for real.

@tremain07 I'm sorry for that ugly show TC. Please see a doctor if you can but if not, just eat, drink some water, and exercise. Ignore that 'eat 1 tbsp of salt' post
