You're kinda undermining your own position on why "chud" isn't flaming. If there's nothing wrong with being an sjw, what's the problem with calling someone one? Like you said about chud, it's just a descriptor. A positive one, even, by your own admission. So it certainly shouldn't be considered flaming if "chud" isn't.
