This. I don't think this SCOTUS majority would rule in favor of Trump's immunity, but they are clearly causing unnecessary delay to benefit Trump. It's possible they officially establish that President's have immunity while conducting legitimate acts in the name of the office, which if so will be the real test of their integrity (not holding my breath) as Trump has claimed that him trying to steal the election was part of his official duties. solosnake posted... They likely know exactly how long they needed to delay to put the trial date back far enough to make it too late. I wouldnt be surprised if a few of them got a check from Trump/Russia either There's plenty of wealthy Americans bankrolling Trump who could have "donated" to them that already have a history of donating to them. Trump certainly doesn't have the money, he was crying today in court about how he'd have to sell property to cover his judgment from the NY fraud case.
