Hmmm? then it is a definition thing I guess. perhaps a better wording is why can't there be something that is nothing but is also nothing in a way we can't yet comprehend beyond space as space expands? defining the universe as everything just means if there is, then that is already part of it but we don't know about it yet also if universe is all that exists, what about non-existence or anti-existence? ...
