The Old Testament is basically the Jewish Torah, and it got two lines saying that a man should not lie with mankind, as with womankind, and the punishment is death.
These old rules were basically a guide of how to make your tribe grow bigger and stronger, and the logic they used was that "gays uses resources that could be used to raise children and making the tribe bigger".
The big difference is how Jews and Christians read it.
Christians saw it as "gays are bad", while Jews saw it as "anal sex is bad".
In reality, Christians killed gays because they were gays.
Jews on the other hand... first you must be seen having anal sex with a man by two witnesses. They must tell you to stop. If you respond that you have heard them and continues with your anal sex, then you could get stoned to death.
So the big question is, did Christians follow it harder because they had an agenda against homosexuals, or did they to stand out from the Jews? Or some other reason?
