i dont use ai lol but i think its a neat tool and it's not going away
sorry that ai stole your pumpkin tits or whatever
i make stained glass for a living. painting on glass is an incredibly involved process that requires not only painting skill, but precise knowledge and extensive monitoring of how, how long, how hot, etc. to fire it in a kiln to get the paint to fuse with the glass without a) burning the paint or b) ruining the glass. and that's only a small part of the process of making a stained glass window. if ai gets there before i die, i'll be impressed tbh and idk find something else to do
That's craftsmanship and skill.

Which is incredibly and unjustifiably underappreciated, as people prefer to romanticise the creative process and prioritize nebulous things like 'heart', 'soul', and 'a piece of yourself', which they believe they are able to distinguish.

If they are correct, then AI will never be able to make human produced art obsolete.

What you see a lot with writers is that they think their creativity and passion are all they need. They baulk at the idea of practice, refinement, and honing their craft.
