Chaucer used the singular they and he didn't even fuckin' write in modern English. I used it earlier today when describing a vehicle that came dangerously close to where I was standing when I went across the road to check my mailbox since I didnt manage to catch a clear sight of the driver as it zoomed past other than that they seemed to be the vehicles sole occupant. Thankfully it didnt clip me, but that was still quite scary to look up after closing the mailbox and seeing it zoom past so close to me. --- "We're going to shake things up, Morgan.
