is that like genderbent spiderman or is it it's own "original" thing? Madame Web in the comics was an elderly, blind, paralyzed mutant. She was clairvoyant, telepathic and had precognition. The movie is doing their own version, making her young and able-bodied, but keeping the mind powers. Basically the plot of the movie is that both Madame Web and Ezekiel Sims (also artistic license'd) can see the future. Ezekiel Sims sees three Spider-Women being the cause of his death, so he's trying to murder them before they get their powers, with Dakota Johnson's Madame Web trying to save them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGfWAJJ7fq8 It's been described as a thriller, reminiscent of Final Destination. In an interview with Total Film, director SJ Clarkson said "It's a thriller at the end of the day and it was exciting to be able to have those thriller-slash-horror moments." when they brought up the comparisons and blood. I personally think the talk of it being an actual thriller is just marketing hype like how Multiverse of Madness was going to be the MCU's first horror movie but I'll take what I can get. --- All good to me is lost; Evil, be thou my Good (THEY/THEM) ...
