Yes I dont disagree there. I was thinking more about the lack of trained people who could actually do the jobs and lack of hospitals to actually do it in.

You could go to the extreme and suggest every single person should be tested for everything once a month and in a thought experiment with infinite resources that would be great. In reality you have to make decisions on where to spread your resources.

We saw with Covid how hard our hospitals got hammered and testing everyone every year would require a lot more resources than that. Its just not feasible.

But yeah I agree in a world where staff, money, resources are infinite then yeah Id be well on board.
We could easily have a lot more hospitals and trained staff if we chose to invest in it. We dont because people in power dont want to.

Im not saying monthly screen the entire population for every cancer known to man. We dont even have reliable methods of detecting everything early.

But theres no reason to not have, for example, a cologuard or blood tests available to anyone that wants a screen.

And other comments that act like the world with a handful of inconvenient false positives is worse than the world with a lot less cancer and thus arguing against it as medically/scientifically necessary range from dishonest to useful idiot.
