It is actually the opposite. They want to get out of the hardware business and into the "game service" business. Microsoft buying up a bunch of studios is just a way for them to push XBox Game Pass by making games available on that. If they could make XBox Game Pass for Playstation, they would in a heartbeat. Sony won't allow it though, so in the meantime they will just release the games on Playstation as traditional physical/digital releases.Yup I agree, which is why I think we will see an xbox app on Linux one day. they won't stop with the xbox though, it will be a cheap media computer for accessing microsoft services like gaming. --- He who stumbles around in darkness with a stick is blind.
