I bet there's some place in Wisconsin or something that does a Philly style cheese steak that's just as good or better than one you'd get in Philly. The conceit of location is way overblown. Speaking of conceit and being snooty: assuming your defensiveness means you're from the UK, are you one of those folks that sees sausage gravy and goes "that's not gravy! Gravy's brown!"?
