35.Disgaea: Hour/Afternoon of Darkness/DS
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 96;7
Developer: Nippon Ichi Software
System: PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS
Genre(s): Strategy RPG
Previous Rank: 34th (List 8)

A more niche startegy RPG but very well-loved by those who play it.

The story is pretty light-hearted and funny, but what really stands out about the game is how over the top the gameplay is compared to other SRPGs.

The level cap is ridiculously high, and there are lots of side bosses at really high levels so grinding a lot in this game is a must. People who love this game tend to be lots of hours into it.

34.Skies of Arcadia (Legends)
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 99;7
Developer: Overworks
System: Dreamcast, Gamecube
Genre(s): JRPG
Previous Rank: 57th (List 8)

An RPG whose fans on board 8 really really love the game.

Although a bunch of the game seems JRPG fare there are a bunch of things about it that stick out about it.

The setting takes place in the SKY, so expect to be an airship already towards the beginning of the game. Along with your turn-based battle system are airship battles which take about as much strategy as the main battles.

33.Fallout 3

Points Received/List Appearances: 101;8
Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
System: PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360
Genre(s): Western Action RPG
Previous Rank: 39th (List 8)

One of the most popular open world games of this generation.

There are many quests and many areas to explore so you definitely won't get bored quickly, even in a 2nd playthrough.

The perks and VATS system are unique gameplay mechanics that people enjoy.

32.Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 101;11
Developer: Capcom
System: Nintendo DS
Genre(s): Adventure/visual novel
Previous Rank: 23rd (List 8)

Board 8's favorite Ace Attorney game, albeit barely so.

The game stars Phoenix Wright as usual saving his clients through the use of banging desks and yelling, and simple yet complex gameplay.

However, this game has a few 'flashback' cases with Phoenix's mentor, Mia and these cases tie in with the overall main plot.

31.Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty/Substance
external image
Points Received/List Appearances: 106;8
Developer: KCEJ
System: Playstation 2, Xbox, PC, PS3, 360, Vita
Genre(s): Stealth action
Previous Rank: 45th (List 8)

Although some people aren't fond of playing Raiden for most of the game, there are still many fans who adore this game and even call it the best in the series.

MGS2 takes a lot of the gameplay elements that worked well in MGS1, fixed some things and added a few cool things of its own.

There is now a first person mode which can be helpful for certain situations. You can now actually press yourself against a wall to hide from enemies as well.
