Or at least, any magic/melee mix can be awesome. If they're pure black magic and melee like Golbez, that's the best.
Erm, what instance of Golbez are you talking about? In FFIV he hardly fights, and in Dissidia he's got weird techno-beams and Doom rocks and just a little melee.
