regaro: imo lunatic mode is better about this. like, when i used to be trying for normal clears, the basic plan would be near perfect stages 1-3 -> die a lot on 4-6 and hope i have enough resources to make it though. but i've never even come close to perfect 1-3 on lunatic. i can still clear because i do relatively better on the second half. in other words, the early stages are closer to the 'average' level of challenge and are thereby more interesting. i can't ever let my guard down even on lunatic s1, really.
I think I perfect'd IN Stage 1 once except for Wriggle's ****ing last word.
but yeah back when I seriously tried (read: about the time I 1cc'd IN normal) I decided I wanted to 1cc PCB or something before moving up in difficulty <_<;
