He's supporting to Indoctrination Theory, to an extent. He's not saying it's actually the case, but he does admit there's so much evidence that points to it even though Bioware probably didn't plan for it in the first place. Good video, watch it imo.


Because he was implying that he would rather risk his life making up for the mistakes he had made and the tests on seashells wouldn't be as interesting as the work he had done before. He wouldn't have been satisfied with the retired lifestyle, basically.


Also, I heard that the indoctrination theory only fits for like the ending, which would explain why destruction has Anderson and Red colour, because it would imply Shep breaking the indoctrination. (I hope I kept this vague enough.)
