There's a reason Bret Hart popularized it. Not only is it a nice extended sequence that eventually gets really easy to pull off without communication once everyone who works with you knows it, it also serves as something the fans grow to expect and look forward to if they are rooting for you, and then in BIG TIME matches when you subvert the formula with counters or reversals or whatnot then it matters more than someone just countering the finisher. It's like a routine has been broken.
Cena does the same thing. He hits his 5MoD a lot, but in big matches often times at some point the sequence goes awry.
