You switched to Hard mode, right?
Liger Queen is a ****ing WALL on higher difficulties just because you're so limited in what you have to work with that early on in the game. Harder modes boost the Phys. Defense of bosses through the god damn roof, too. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that on Unknown, it's the longest fight in the game aside from the optional end bosses.
