Like they literally treat their kids like pets or something.
I was having dinner with my friend's family once and they had this couple visiting with a kid who I had never met before. I made a remark that people treat babies exactly the same as dogs and they flipped out like I was crazy.
I guess some people don't think that when you talk to kids in baby voices and put leashes on them and treat them like sub-humans just because they can't talk, it's treating them like dogs.
