Except they didn't have any of the alterations everyone b****es about. So they may as well be the originals.
That set is now out of print. In fact, all versions of the original trilogy except for the latest blu-ray version are now out of print. And if Lucas has his way, it will stay that way. He has stated that he wants the older versions to disappear and be forgotten about. 100 years from now, he wants the latest edit of the trilogy to be the only one that anyone even knows existed.
