They almost never put stock in them in the actual games, and I don't even know which game you're referencing for them.
Not to mention the Master Sword has yet to actually kill Ganondorf. It's mainly just sealed him away, or like in TP he died because of Zant's lifelink to him and snapping his neck when he was weak.
