People who think that Settlers of Catan is luck based are probably not great at settlers of Catan.
I won 6 straight 6 person Catan games. If you are the best you can make wins happen. You just have to know how to make crazy trades.
But that still doesn't fit all the categories. I don't know how to help you there.
