Just finished.
It felt like Episode 6 a lot, in that it had some really low points but also some really high points, and I don't agree with the overall message of escapism. But it was also much better than Episode 6 and I loved the ending. Not a fan of fantasy battles instead of mystery battles but the fantasy battles were done much better than they usually are and I loved solving the puzzles.
Overall, it's actually a lot better than I could have hoped for. Stuff as 'unique' as Umineko usually ends really goddamn stupidly, or at least weird. It wasn't nearly as weird as I thought it would be and the endings had some of my favorite scenes of the entire series, so hey.
I don't know how anyone can be mad at the goats. They're more funny than anything else.
