FFXIII-2 makes the bracket and FFXIII doesn't?
DKCR and DKC2 but no DKC1?
Mortal Kombat got something in for both 2004 and 2009 and it had its first relevant game in over a decade this year so it should have gotten something in this one.
Other games that probably have some strength and would have a good chance at making a bracket, though I guess not everything can get in:

Sonic 1
Doom
Resident Evil 1
