So you think Cloud alone is stronger than Mario, yet Cloud paired with the 3rd/4th strongest character is weaker than Mario paired with someone who isn't even in the top 10?
Uh... it's pretty clear that this contest doesn't work that way. Otherwise Cloud would beat Link. Among other results that haven't happened. I'm taking this contest to be more like a series contest with a twist than a character contest, based on how results have gone. Super Mario Bros as a series is really close to Final Fantasy as a series, and would beat FF7 alone, so yeah.
