There was a series of Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Morgan matches that kept getting botched by rookie ref Jackson James, always to the advantage of Bischoff and Hogan's chosen Champion, Jeff Hardy.

He then continued on after that to be a regular ref for a year, but then a YEAR LATER we find out that he is really Garrett Bischoff, Eric Bischoff's son, and he's been a plant for them this whole time.


You forgot the part where "rookie ref who is only known for screwing things up" somehow mysteriously kept being assigned to really important matches including title matches.

Although I think at least once they justified that by saying that Matt Morgan WANTED him to ref his rematch in order to give him a chance to redeem himself or something.
